Linen size chart
Standard tables are 30" high, so a 30" drop reaches the floor. Floor-length linens look most formal; a shorter "lap length" drop is fine for casual parties.

How to work out your linen size
Round tables: linen diameter = table diameter + (2 × drop). For a 60" table with a 30" drop to the floor: 60 + 30 + 30 = 120" round.
Rectangular tables: add twice the drop to both the length and the width. For a 6 ft (72" x 30") table with a 30" drop: 72 + 60 = 132" long and 30 + 60 = 90" wide, so a 90" x 132" linen.
Do not forget napkins (one per guest) and a coordinating table for the cake, gifts and guest book.

- Floor length hides table legs and storage underneath.
- Use the same drop on every table for a tidy look.
- Cocktail tables look best with a floor-length linen tied at the waist.
- Order one or two spare linens for buffet and gift tables.

What size tablecloth do I need for a 6 ft round table?
A 132" round linen reaches the floor on a 6 ft (72") round table. A 120" round gives a 24" drop that stops 6" above the floor.
What size linen fits an 8 ft banquet table?
A 90" x 156" linen reaches the floor on all sides of an 8 ft (96" x 30") table.
What size linen fits a 5 ft round table?
A 120" round linen is floor length on a 5 ft (60") round table. A 108" round gives a shorter 24" drop.
